Float Your Boat has a collaboration with Le Commandant Charcot passenger cruise icebreaker. In mid-July it was the first North Pole trip of their cruise season of four expeditions.
All the guests onboard had the opportunity to decorate their own wooden boat as well as sign the International Arctic Buoy Programme's Arctic weather buoy. Many boxes of decorated wooden boats from many schools were deployed as well in the shape of a Peace symbol as we were in the Arctic and it is 'neutral ground'. It seemed particularly fitting as we had an incredible meeting with the Russian ship '50 Years of Victory' at the Pole and there was purely joy and excitement between the two vessels at seeing each other and sharing a common goal of reaching the North Pole.
