California Student Finds Boat on Hrísey Island, Iceland

Madi Sparre, from California reported boat #230102 on July 3, 2024 on Hrísey Island, in Northern Iceland. Madi was participating in a month long study abroad trip to Iceland, and traveling around for a week or so with classmates and ended up staying in Hrísey for two nights. A group of the students went on a hike around the island and found a pretty remote looking cove to explore, which was where Madi found the boat!


The boat originated in Seattle, Washington at Eckstein Middle School and then was depoyed on August 17, 2023 at the North Pole by Le Commandant Charcot.
